During my one-month training at the Ethiopian Technical University, FDRE TVET Center, I had a great
chance to learn practical skills. I am very thankful to Allah for this opportunity. I also want to thank the
whole GSA Team, Mr. Gamal, Eng. Nasrudin, and Mr. Mayow for their hard work in helping us reach
this university in Ethiopia. Their support and belief in me gave me the confidence to do my best in the
training. I am very grateful for the new knowledge and skills I learned, and now I feel ready and proud
to help and serve it to my nation, and the next generation, in Somalia.
The skill-based training at FDRE TVET – Ethiopian Technical University was very practical and valuable.
During my time there, I focused on learning everything I could about how water supply systems and
waste drainage/disposal systems work in buildings. This blog is about my own journey, the important
lessons I learned, and the great environment that helped me improve my skills.
Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, is a beautiful city full of history and culture. My time at FDRE TVET
Institute was more than just learning from books; it was also about experiencing a new culture. The
school is right in the center of the city, so I had the chance to see the local life, try a new language, and
meet many friendly Ethiopian people. Everyone there welcomed me warmly and made me feel
comfortable.
As a TVET Master Trainer, I received training using modern and high-quality
workshop facilities. I got the chance to practice, try out, and really do the work by myself.
